We are a residential painting company. This page says what information we collect, why, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, through our website form, a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Google, a phone call, a text, an email or in person, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, and what you would like painted.
If we visit, we may take photos of the areas to be painted. Those photos are used to prepare your estimate and to run the job.
If you hire us, we also keep the estimate, the agreement, colour and product records, invoices and payment records.
Why we collect it
To answer your request, book the visit, prepare the estimate, do the work, invoice you, and stand behind our workmanship warranty afterwards. We also keep job records for tax purposes, as the law requires.
Photos of your home are not used in our advertising, website or social media unless you have said yes.
Marketing messages
We only send marketing emails or texts to people who have agreed to receive them. Every one tells you how to stop them: reply STOP to a text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email, or tell us by phone or email.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use ordinary business services to run the company, and your information passes through them: our website host (Squarespace), our email and calendar (Google), Facebook and Instagram when you contact us through a lead form or message there, our accounting software (QuickBooks), and our payment processors (Interac e-Transfer and Stripe). Each of them has its own privacy policy. We share information with nobody else unless the law requires it.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to see how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel so our Facebook and Instagram ads reach people who have visited the site. Both use cookies. You can block cookies in your browser.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not turn into a job are kept so we can follow up and so we recognise you if you call again. Job records are kept for the length of our warranty and as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. Email or call and we will sort it out.
