Who We Are

Proudly serving London & surrounding communities with craftsmanship that lasts.

Our Story

Locally owned. Driven by quality.

Mill Pond Painters began as a small local operation with one goal: to provide reliable, high-quality painting services that homeowners can feel confident about. Founded by Charlie Quance, with hands-on leadership from Jerry Quance, we’ve grown into a team of skilled painters committed to excellence. As Dorchester locals, we treat every home like our own—delivering clean finishes, dependable service, and professional care on every project.

Today, homeowners choose us because the details are handled properly. We arrive when we say we will, protect your home like it’s our own, and stay focused on crisp lines, smooth surfaces, and durable finishes that hold up to everyday life. Mill Pond Painters is fully insured and WSIB compliant, and we take pride in being a local team you can call on again and again—serving London and surrounding communities with the same care we’d want in our own neighbourhood.

Values

More than paint. It’s the impact we leave behind.

For us, painting is about more than color on the walls. It’s about supporting our neighbours, building trust, and strengthening community ties. Every project is a chance to deliver premium results while leaving a positive impression. From start to finish, we believe in being punctual, polite, and professional—because the experience matters just as much as the outcome.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes—share a few project details and any photos. We’ll review and send a clear, written estimate with no pressure.
How soon can you start?
Typical interior starts are 1–3 weeks out. Exterior work runs April–October, weather-dependent.
What paints do you use? Are they low-VOC?
We recommend premium, low-VOC coatings for most interiors—great coverage, durable finish, and healthier indoor air.
Are you insured and WSIB compliant?
Yes. We carry full liability coverage and are WSIB compliant for your peace of mind.
How should we prepare before you arrive?
Please clear small items and wall decor, move light furniture if possible, and let us know about pets or access needs. We’ll handle protection and prep.
How long will my project take?
Most interior rooms finish in 1–2 days. Whole-home or exterior timelines vary by scope and weather—we’ll give you a clear schedule up front.
Can you help with colour choices?
Absolutely. We can provide popular palettes and samples, or coordinate with your designer for a confident selection.
What’s included in your 2-year workmanship warranty?
Workmanship is guaranteed for two years. If something we did isn’t right, we’ll make it right—simple as that.
What payment methods do you accept?
E-transfer and major cards are accepted. A deposit may be required for larger projects; details are outlined in your estimate.
How do you handle older surfaces or lead paint?
We follow safe prep practices for older substrates. If we suspect lead or asbestos, we’ll discuss testing and proper remediation steps before work begins.
